Montreal rapper Lou Phelps links up with Key! for "Rent Is Due." Appropriately dropping the new single on the first day of April, Lou raps over funky horns and drums for a fun party song. "Rent Is Due" is produced by Planet Giza and Lou's older brother Kaytranada. Two years after the brothers dropped their mixtape, Supreme Laziness, as The Celestics, Louie P makes his solo debut with this new record. It's a nice track that pairs Lou Phelps' bouncy rhythm with Key! rough style.

"A couple months ago, Dumix of Planet Giza sent me this instrumental while I was working on my new mixtape," he says to Fader. "The funky/Caribbean baseline and the feel made me want to rap on it, but it would be too simple with just myself on the track. I really fuck with Key!'s music and I thought he would bring an unexpected flavor. So I flew to LA from Phoenix while on tour with Kaytra to met Key! at the studio. I showed him the beat, and what I had done so far. After a few adjustments, we had 'Rent Is Due.'"
