Little Simz gained a lot of buzz last year with her album A Curious Tale Of Trials + Persons. She even earned a big co-sign from Kendrick Lamar. While many are taking notice, Little Simz is dealing with the frustration of being a UK artist trying to make a mark in the United States. The London rapper takes an opportunity to vent with a freestyle over Kanye West's "Heard Em Say."

"All I wanted is conversation, don't try to impress me/If speaking truth is a crime, go ahead and arrest me/My opinion is mine, if I'm ever wrong, check me/Was on a tour around the world when I heard em say/She must be dreaming if she think she can crack the states/Cause when you see me say that shit to my face when faced/Oh, you hater and you know it? I rest my case," Little Simz raps.

Little Simz has high aspirations for her career, so making it big around the world is key. She told XXL that she wants to inspire others.

"I feel like it’s inspiring a lot more people to become that, or not even to become that but to think on that kind of level. Just do more good in the world and give back on whatever scale possible," Little Simz said. "So if I’m in a position to do that and I’ve got a big enough platform, then I will. I just wanna kinda encourage that at all times and just for people to be as selfless as possible, because we’re all one race and that’s the human race and we should help each other. And that’s what I want to project."
