Lil Yachty is gaining momentum at a rapid pace as the media and fans alike keep track of his every move. His polarizing status with hip-hop fans might grow more intense with the new track "U Trippin" though.

The new song is probably Lil Yachty's most simplistic to date. The track sees the Atlanta rapper deliver a very brief verse, surrounded by a repeated chorus of "you tripping." That's all there is to it as it's minimalist to say the least.

As for Lil Yachty's next move, the Atlanta native recently revealed that he would be making a collaborative mixtape with Lil B and Soulja Boy. Lil Yachty told XXL that these were two of the rappers he grew up listening to, so it must mean a lot to get to record a project with both men. Yachty spoke quite highly of Lil B in particular.

"Lil B, he was a rebel, he didn’t give a fuck," Lil Yachty said. "He was like the first artist to like say so many cuss words and say stuff that you’re not supposed to talk about."

Lil Yachty's also set to hit the road with Young Thug next month as part of the HiTunes tour. Check out the list of dates below.
