D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty Team Up for “Broccoli”

D.R.A.M. has linked up with Atlanta buzzmaker Lil Yachty for an assist on the new single "Broccoli." The lighthearted song is produced by J-Gramm, Rogét Chahayed and Karl Rubin. D.R.A.M. lets Yachty handle the opening salvo as the young rapper kicks things off in his sing-song style.

"Hey lil mama, would you like to be my sunshine?/N---a touch my gang, we gon turn that shit to Columbine/Ice on my neck cost me 10 times three/$30,000 for a n---a to get fleek/I just hit Rodeo and spent like 10 G's/I just did a show and spent the check on my momma/When I got on vacay I might go to the Bahamas/I keep like 10 phones, damn, I'm really never home/All these n---as clones tryna copy what I'm on/N---a getcha own, tryna pick a n---a bone," Lil Yachty raps.

Lil Yachty's quick ascent is a sight to see considering his relative inexperience. The Atlanta native told XXL that he just started rapped last year.

"I probably started rapping about a year ago," Yachty said. "I had two songs; I made my closet a booth. I started just putting out songs, locally getting love. Two thousand plays, in my town that’s a lot. I took it seriously about four months ago [because] I hated college. I went to college for about two months. Then I realized that shit was not for me at all. I went to Alabama State. I had ‘Hella Os’ and ‘Minnesota’ written on paper at school. I came home one weekend and freestyled ‘Lil Boat.’ ‘Lil Boat’ is probably the song we put out. Or ‘Hella Os,’ one of those songs."

There's no word on if "Broccoli" will appear on an official project, but expect it to end up on one of D.R.A.M.'s if it does.
