Yakki and 21 Savage team up for "Pockets," which is off his anticipated Gangsta Grillz-hosted tape Yakkstick. The track was was produced by Chase The Money. "You can't tell my struggle/You can't feel my pain/Do you remember them days when I didn't have a thang/Now the hoes on my dick/couple rollies I'm glistening," raps Yakki to open up his verse.

The duo remember the days when they were broke. Now times are different and the two Atlanta rhymers have the city on fire. 21 Savage comes in and spits similar bars about his rough beginnings.

"I remember having nothing, I was fucked up, I was struggling/Watch my momma work a double, got that work and made it double/Now I walk around with a hundred in my pocket, all my niggas with me, they got hundreds in they pockets."

"Pockets" is a street banger with a hook that  will be stuck in your head. With Yakkstick dropping soon, the song serves as a good taste of what's to come.

"Everyone featured on this tape came from and/or understands the struggle, the struggle to want to make it out of the ghetto by way of hip-hop," Yakki told Fader, explaining that "Pockets" sets the tone for Yakkistick. "I'm from a part of Atlanta called Oakland City and everyday is a struggle."

21 Savage released Slaughter King, his latest mixtape, last December. He was featured in XXL’s The Break series and told us why his presence in Atlanta’s rap scene is so important.

“My voice is needed,” 21 Savage told XXL. If it weren’t for my voice, n—as wouldn’t even know n—as shoot in Atlanta. N—as would think everybody wears Giuseppe’s and buy Versace. N—as would think everybody got money in Atlanta. There’s n—as fucked up in Atlanta. It’s a lot of poverty, it’s n—as struggling, it’s n—as hustling, it’s n—as robbing and n—as killing in Atlanta. It ain’t all money and drugs like the picture is painted. It’s a lot of gangsta shit going on in Atlanta. We’re going to bring that back, every aspect of everything. I salute everybody coming out of Atlanta because they keep the light on Atlanta. But I’m going to bring that young n—a feeling back.”
