Denzel Curry's "Knotty Head" has been in circulation for a few weeks now, and the head knocking track gets an extra layer of Florida-forged rhymes thanks to a remix featuring Rick Ross. The remix debut comes courtesy of Zane Lowe and Apple Music, with an edited version of the FNZ and Ronny J-produced track down below.

For Ross, the verse represents more of the bawse talk he has perfected in recent years, as he juxtaposes drug imagery with that of his luxurious lifestyle. On his verse, which comes at the track's tail end, Ross raps, "Educated, reading books, I’m takin Art of War / Wippin' yola yayo residue on the marble floors." And later, he shouts out Denzel, saying, "You pointing fingers but them choppers cutting arms off / DC, CC, we came to warn y’all." CC could be an Andre 3000-esque reference to the carbon copy email feature or a reference to Ross's hometown of Carol City.

The remix is part of the lead-up to Curry's Imperial project which is expected to drop at some point this year. Curry, like Ross, also hails from Carol City and spoke to XXL in September 2015 about his hometown, saying, "Coming out of Carol City, we had different sections, but I guess it’s all like one area. You know how neighborhoods go...you had people like JT Money going to schools in Liberty City to places like Norland. Then Rick Ross graduated from Carol City High School. Gunplay, who is also part of MMG, Triple Cs, Flo Rida, Briscoe; I was looking at them like, 'Damn, these guys are coming from the same city I’m from.' It was either rapping like them or being different. I knew I was different from the jump because I wasn’t rapping about the same shit, but I was young as fuck though. So I couldn’t really say too much shit."
