Hopsin is coming for blood on his new single “Ill Mind of Hopsin 8.” The co-founder and former head of Funk Volume is finally speaking out about his nasty split from the crew and he’s not holding anything back.

The song features the rapper in a court room, where he's on trial and spitting bars in an effort to defend himself on the stand. It becomes clear that his testimony is a long one directed at his former manager, accountant and more. “Man, this is tough luck, see a couple weeks ago we was buds/And the crew that was killing shit was us/Till you turned on me homie, that's fucked up/I ain't keeping this shit on the hush, hush/On my chest I just carry too much stuff/ I done had it, enough is enough bruh,” he growls on first verse.

The venom continues when the press is interviewing him outside of the courtroom and a glaring headline on the television reads, "Hopsin leaves Funk Volume." He goes on to blast his former manager Damian Ritter. "What are your fucking motives Dame?/Let’s talk about it/ You’re our manager, our label-owner, our accountant/That’s kinda tricky, something is fishy, that’s risky," Hopsin rhymes calling Ritter out by name.

Back in January, Hopsin announced via Facebook that he was parting ways with Funk Volume. He blamed the split solely on Ritter. "Funk Volume is officially dead now thanks to the monster Damien Ritter. There is nobody else to blame at all," he wrote. "I have officially separated myself from everything and I am fully independent now. It's very sad but idiots like dame wanna control too Much and now he end up destroying a great fucking team."

Peep the song above. Hospin is spitting fire once again. It's early but “Ill Mind of Hopsin 8” could be one of the best diss tracks of the year.
