Fat Joe, Lord Finesse and Diamond D Team Up for New Song “Rock Shyt”

Fat Joe, Lord Finesse and Diamond D are giving 1990s New York rap fans what they need. The D.I.T.C. Studios squad drops "Rock Shyt" today (March 21). Riding on a dope, guitar-laced beat produced by Supa Ugly, each MC does damage on the new cut.

Joey Crack starts things off with a bang. "Ayo we gotta be the greatest/I swear to God I got more rings than Kareem or Kobe on the Lakers/Been the realest nigga, check the cadence/So much white on the table, yea I been called racist/Got that 8 on 15 for any nigga tryna jump/I'm double dutch with the gats, double clutch at the mat/Traded in the house for a short sale/And like J.P. Morgan, nigga we all bail," he raps.

The cover art for the single is definitely fitting, featuring a throwback class photo of D.I.T.C. in menacing black, complete with the deceased Big L in the back row just like old times.

Diggin' in the Crates Crew was first established in New York in the early 1990s. With the exception of Big L and O.C., the members of D.I.T.C. were all about Bronx hip-hop. To date, the crew has dropped 10 projects together and are currently working on their 11th, D.I.T.C Studios. Let's hope this new joint makes the final cut on the album.

Fat Joe has been coming back hard lately. The Bronx-born Terror Squad CEO has announced a joint album with signee Remy Ma entitled Platas o Plomo (translation Money or Bullets) and dropping the single "All the Way Up" featuring French Montana earlier this month.

"Rock Shyt" has undeniable "riding with the homies" vibes and proves that this veteran posse has lost a bar or a step even after all these years. Rock out with D.I.T.C.'s latest.
