Born and bred in New York City, Big Twins and Prodigy of Mobb Deep have left quite the mark on both the hip-hop world and in the city itself. Having grown up in the infamous Queensbridge Houses, Twins and Prodigy have been running around the city for decades and have introduced their gritty sound to people of all walks of life thanks to hit records and sold out international tours. Though they've been all over the globe, the two have never forgotten where they came from and take listeners on a tour of the New York City they grew up in with "The Rotten Apple."

While most out-of-towners think of Times Square, the Empire State Building and other tourist destinations when they think of NYC, Big Twins and Prodigy paint a picture of how the other side lives. Over a soul-sampling beat from Twiz the Beat Pro, the two MCs tell tales of drug infested hallways, crime fueled nights and police brutality. Pulling no punches, the lyricists don't paint their environment with the glitz and glamour that is often portrayed in films and on television.

"The Rotten Apple" will appear on the Big Twins and Twiz the Beat Pro collab album TNT, which is due out April 1. Check out the tracklist and features below.
