Waka Flocka is saluting the ones who have been with him since the beginning on his new track. "Day Zero's" sees the Atlanta rapper teaming up with KSO to show his appreciation for his longtime friends and supporters.

Following a similar trend to his previously released songs this year, Waka Flocka appears to be using his name recognition to give lesser known names a higher profile. Waka Flocka let Southside of 808 Mafia get some shine under the producer's rap moniker Young Sizzle and seems to be doing the same with KSO. Waka Flocka simply delivers one verse on this track while KSO handles the rest of "Day Zero's."

The DJ Baby Gold Jesus production seems to take some strong cues from the work of DJ Mustard. The track looks to recapture DJ Mustard's signature sound while also employing the familiar sample of Lafayette Afro Rock Band's "Darkest Light," which most identify with Public Enemy's "Show 'Em Whatcha Got" and Jay Z's 2006 version of the track.

Although Waka Flocka continues to supply his fans with new music like this, there is still no word on what the status of his Flockavelli 2 album is. The album was scheduled to drop last summer, but has experienced repeated delays. Waka Flocka has lashed out at his label, Atlantic Records, many times with no luck in provoking them to release the project. "I just wanna say fuck my major label Atlantic Records," Waka Flocka tweeted back in December.
