Tate Kobang entered the hip-hop consciousness like a breathe of fresh air with his "Bank Rolls (Remix)." The lighthearted song was an unabashed ode to his hometown of Baltimore as it repurposed the beat of city pioneer Tim Tree's original song. But Tate Kobang is capable of crafting original works too.

The 300 Entertainment signee has released a brand new single titled "Oh My" produced by the Honorable C-Note. Much like his breakthrough track "Bank Rolls (Remix)," Tate Kobang's latest work is one that will sure to have people of all ages dancing in the near future. It's an interesting production style to hear from the Honorable C-Note as he gets out of his comfort zone of hard-hitting beats to craft something much different.

As for Tate Kobang, the 23-year-old rhymer hopes this new single will help bring more focus to his hometown. As Tate told XXL, he wants Baltimore to become the next hip-hop hotspot.

"[My goal is] to do for Baltimore and Pennsylvania what Chief Keef did for Chicago," Tate said. "He came out and he created the platform for the town—which is crazy because there’s a lot of very successful artists from that same area, but they didn’t really bring eyes to the area. You got Kanye West, who’s been a music genius for years, but nobody was really looking at Chicago like that until Chief Keef came out. Now everybody wanna be a Chicago rapper. And of course to have longevity—I ain’t looking to just have one record."

Time will tell if Tate Kobang can bring Baltimore to the forefront of rap, but he's off to a good start with 300 Entertainment backing him.
