After a year in the making, Slaughterhouse MC KXNG Crooked and Boston DJ/producer Statik Selektah just dropped their self-titled collab project STATIK KXNG.

The duo has recently stepped up the output with two previously released songs "Everybody Know" and "Dead or in Jail," which have been precursors of things to come.

Coming in at 10 tracks, this LP is an interesting blend which combines Crooked's Cali cooked bars with the boom bap beat selection of the East Coast producer. And they put all the pressure on their shoulders.

The only guest appearances come from Termanology who appears on the track "Let's Go" and Jessica Quintero who sings on the aforementioned "Dead or in Jail." Otherwise it is all Crooked and Statik bodying tracks and beats. The LP drops via ShowOff Records and Penalty Entertainment.

The duo announced the project a year ago on ShowOff Radio saying it was perfect timing for the two to connect. “To be honest, hip-hop is going in a great direction," said Crooked. "We just got to make our contribution. I’m excited for this project. It’s gonna be something dope.”

Describing the project the Shady MC noted, “[It’s] East meets West, two people who are on top of their game at what they are doing. We are putting everything down to bring a dope project to the people. We wont disappoint.”

Time to show and prove, fellas.
