Yo Gotti has had a smash hit on his hands with his ode to social media advances "Down in the DM" and has even sparked relationship rumors with the song, when he followed his claim that he had a crush on Angela Simmons by sending Rev Run's daughter a bouquet of flowers. As Gotti prepares to roll out his next album, The Art of Hustle, he could stand to ride the "Down in the DM" wave a bit longer with a high profile remix, which is exactly what Meek Mill teased on Thursday (Feb. 3) when he posted a snippet of a Nicki Minaj verse overtop the beat.

Nicki is her usual confident and dismissive self, flipping Gotti's song to illustrate how unattainable she is to most who resort to direct message hollering. While the clip is brief, it's accompanied by an animated DM conversation, with Nicki rapping, "I said Miley what's good?/I said could you pay my bills like O’Reilly what's good?/I just sit back and observe/All these niggas that I done curved/If it go down in your DM then baby boy you lucky/Cause 99.9 percent of these fuck boys can’t fuck me."

Yo Gotti and Nicki had teamed up previously for Gotti's "5 Star Chick (Remix)" and their follow-up collaboration sounds like a problem. There's no sign as to when the "Down in the DM (Remix)" will drop, as the snippet entered the world unannounced and with little to no context. Based on the legitimacy of the short video art though, it is likely safe to assume that the track will enter the public sphere sooner rather than later. The song after all is included on the tracklist to The Art of Hustle, which is set to drop on Feb. 19. In the meantime though, check out the snippet above.
