Stream Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ ‘This Unruly Mess I’ve Made’ Album

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are back with the follow up to their 2012 album The Heist. A Grammy win, a diamond single and four years later, the Seattle duo brings us their latest effort This Unruly Mess I've Made.

The 13 song collection contains guest appearances from the likes of KRS-One, DJ Premier, YG, Anderson .Paak, Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee, Grandmaster Caz, Chance The Rapper, Idris Elba and others.

The duo has been putting this album together for a while now with Ryan Lewis saying back in 2014, “We are working everyday on this next record. [We] want to make an album everybody’s proud of.”

Mack and Lew only gave their fans a little over a month of preparation, announcing the new project in January with a video message.

This album lacks the punch that The Heist carried, as it was spearheaded by the smash mega hit "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us." However, this project was not without controversy. The second single "White Privilege II" sparked much debate on the Internet. On the track, Macklemore takes head on his position as a White performer in a largely Black art form and culture, name-dropping Iggy Azalea (who took exception to the plug). Even Talib Kweli and activist Deray McKesson got in on the conversation.

The album's first single "Downtown" is a homage to the old school hip-hop era and features Eric Nally, Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee, and Grandmaster Caz
