Kodak Black has become a star in the making ever since his single "SKRT" caught the world's attention. The young Floridian dealt with some legal troubles, but those are behind him as he tries to make a mark in the rap game.

Since the release of his Institution mixtape last December, Kodak Black has released a few new tracks as fans await his Project Baby 2 project. The Florida rapper's latest song is a record titled "I Wanna Rock." It's bit of a switch for Kodak as the beat is subdued and his rhymes are less forceful. There's still a lot of aggression and directness to his raps though.

Back in January, XXL spoke to Kodak Black about his goals in hip-hop. The Pompano Beach native made it clear that he's looking to make his mark quickly, stack up some money and get out before it consumes him.

"I feel like in this rap shit you can’t really try to go for too long; bitches try and get at you," Kodak said. "Then when you try to stay at it for too long, it looks like there’s an image you’re trying to put on. Over here ain’t no image. I’m just going to make my couple mill and fall back, fuck the fame."

Kodak Black may not want the fame, but he's already earned some notoriety when it comes to social media. The young rapper's image has become a popular meme as of late. Luckily for Kodak, a new meme will capture social media's attention very soon.
