Young Thug continues his remarkably prolific run with another new single, the Metro Boomin-produced "Make a Lot." The song surfaced online, and its origins are proving someone difficult to trace--there seems to be ambiguity as to whether it's a scheduled single that simply leaked early, or if it was culled from the same batch of stolen material that leaked last spring. In either event, it's a surprisingly muted cut from the budding stars, and makes for an impressive addition to their growing catalog.

More than two years ago now, Thug and Metro teamed up for "The Blanguage," a psychedelic remix of "The Language" from Drake's Nothing Was the Same. The song was credited to Metro Thuggin, the collaboration between the two that was expected to yield a full-length album in short order. However, a variety of factors--including a possible dispute with Thug's label, 300 Entertainment, which Metro alluded to in a tweet--have kept it on the shelf.

This fall, the two collaborators briefly became embroiled in a dispute of sorts. It could be traced back to tweets Metro made about artists trying to copy Future's strategy of flooding the market with free projects. (Metro also works extensively with Future.) Thug thought the tweets could be aimed at him, and the two traded barbs online before eventually settling their differences and hopping back in the studio. A Metro Thuggin LP is still expected at some point.
