Leave it to Kanye West to drop a song mere hours before the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve. Surprising everyone, West drops his latest, "Facts."

It was Ye's wife, Kim Kardashian-West, who prefaced the new music drop with a few tweets. Kim shared the hashtag 'facts' along with pics of Kanye and other various celebrities in Yeezy Boosts with her 38.5 million followers at around 7 PM EST.

Then, at nearly 11 PM on New Year's Eve, Kim shared the SoundCloud link to the new heater. Yup, Yeezy used his wifey as the ultimate hype man.

Staying cleverly current on the new track, Kanye fits in multiple jabs at his former footwear collaborator, Nike, repeating "Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy, just jumped over Jumpman" and even makes a joke about the haters who've been complaining about the delay of his latest studio album, SWISH; "I ain't dropped an album but the shoes went platinum." Kanye rhymes as buoyantly as ever over the Southside and Metro Boomin-produced beat, showcasing his signature braggadocios, reveling in the success of the Yeezy Boost sales and giving fans just the appetizer they need to stir the pot of album anticipation in 2016.

"Facts" marks the second time in a row the Chicago rapper has dropped new music on New Year's Eve. It was this time last year that Ye dropped "Only One," his heartfelt ode to daughter North West. As 2015 flew by, Kanye dropped a few more sparse tracks but judging from the vibe of "Facts," his outlook going in 2016 is far more focused on getting back to the music than being on daddy duty.

This new track comes to us just a couple weeks after Kanye sent out a tweet announcing he won't be taking on anymore projects until SWISH is done.

Pick out as many one-liners as you want when you listen to the new banger here. Happy New Year!
