In 2015, D.R.A.M. went from unknown artist to hit maker by putting out the infectious track "Cha Cha," one of the biggest songs of the year. With 2016 now in full effect, the Hampton (VA) bred singer/songwriter looks back on his magical run on the new track "1 Year."

Produced by "Cha Cha" beat maker Gabe Niles, the track is a slow burn with D.R.A.M. singing with fervor about his life-changing year over a laid back instrumental. While the crooner seems to be in joyous mood on the song, the repeated chorus of "often imitated, but never duplicated" seems like it could be a slight shot at Drake who was accused of trying to steal the D.R.A.M.'s "Cha Cha" wave with the similar sounding "Hotline Bling."
