Boosie BadAzz isn't taking any time for granted. Fresh off the heels of his latest album, the intensely personal In My Feelings (Goin' Thru It), he drops another single, the Lyfe Jennings-featuring "Cold Hearted."

Just as he does on In My Feelings, Boosie focuses on matters in his immediate field of view before turning to nationally visible political matters. On "Cold Hearted," it's the murder of Trayvon Martin; Boosie scoffs at the notion that a bag of candy could be mistaken for a gun.

The cult hero from Baton Rouge was released from prison in the spring of 2014 and, aside from spending time with his kids and extended family, locked himself in a recording booth, churning out Life After Deathrow, Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, a pair of compilation tapes and a series of singles and guest verses before In My Feelings.
