Hip-hop fans can argue all day about which Freddie Gibbs project is his best, but at the top of anyone's list is Pinata, the 2014 project produced entirely by Madlib. Gibbs got a hold of Madlib's latest instrumental for Kanye and Kendrick's "No More Parties in L.A." and dropped his own rendition under the title, "Cocaine Parties in L.A." Unsurprisingly, Gangsta Gibbs laid slaughter over the sample-heavy beat and put a hardcore spin on the Waves single.

The brass at Def Jam weren't too thrilled with Freddie's freestyle and had his rendition scrubbed from the web. That didn't stop the Gary, Indiana rapper from giving the people what they want, however. Gibbs took it upon himself to upload the track to his own website to stream and download. "Def Jam and Universal can eat a dick for snatchin down my link," he tweeted. "Keep the party going tho."

Gibbs and Madlib's Pinata was critically acclaimed and landed on many year-end lists in '14. The album featured Earl Sweatshirt, Raekwon, Scarface, Danny Brown, Domo Genesis, Ab-Soul, BJ the Chicago Kid and more.
