New year, new Black Dave. The Harlem rapper has switched up his steelo and is currently doing punk rock music under the new moniker Black Punk. For his latest release under the new name, Black drops the video for the unapologetically grunge jam "Squad."

In the clip, director Max utilizes the now trendy lo-fi, VHS-style filter. BP rolls up in a club and gets super lit with the other party goers. He smokes, drinks and moshes the night away in the high intensity scene. In another setting, he turns up in the corner store, then later has some sort of freaky seance with a goth looking White chick.

Dave recently gave an interview to Ride where he explained his transition to punk rap. "I put on my Instagram that I lost motivation to create rap music," said the Harlemite. "I feel like I'm just creating music for what people want to hear and not for who I am and what I really want to put out there."

Rock was an easy leap to make for Dave. "Punk rock music has always been an influence on me. Growing up skating, watching skate videos, it was punk rock and it was hip-hop that was in all of these videos," he added. "All that stuff that I listened to growing up, now that I'm older and I'm developing as a artist I want to tap back into that."
