For a 19-year-old kid, Bishop Nehru has had enough experiences in the hip-hop game that rival rappers twice his age. On his latest loosie, "Forever and a Day," Nehru recounts his rise from rhyming in his parent's crib to landing a deal with Mass Appeal and working with MF DOOM. It should be noted that Bishop is no longer with Mass Appeal, per reps. Nehru credits Eminem, 50 Cent, Pharrell, Raekwon, pop rock and jazz as his influences as a young'n before deciding to rock on tracks himself. As Nehru's grind continues, the Brooklyn native takes a look back over a self-produced instrumental.

Nehru caught up with XXL shortly after his NehruvianDOOM EP dropped and said he was ready to get right back to work since he had already had enough life experiences in the time since recording to tell on wax. “I mean, I’m happy with it, obviously, because it’s a project with one of my influences,” he said. “I feel like with that, a lot of it is my 16-year-old, 17-year-old lyrics, and I’ve grown a lot since 16 and 17. My perspective on things. My poetry’s gotten better, I’ve gotten better at describing certain things.”

The MC stayed true to his word by dropping Nehruvia: The Nehruvian EP in May of 2015.
