Super producer Timbaland is the self-professed king of the beat arena, but sometimes even royalty have to step off their throne and show they can still hold their own in the field. Tim takes a break from crafting Top 40 hits and brings his game to street level with the new mixtape, King Stays King.

“It’s been a while since I’ve been able to give the world some new music,” the Virginia beat maker said in a press release announcement of the tape. “I’ve spent a lot of time working on this project and I am just looking forward to giving my fans some dope sounds to close out the year.”

The 18-song project is filled with features. Back in August, Tim hinted at having unreleased material from Aaliyah. “Attention!!!!! People ask me all the time do I have any babegirl music we haven’t heard !!!!!well the answer is YES!!!!!!!!,” he wrote on Instagram. One of these long-awaited Baby Girl reveals appears on the tape as song No. 2, "Shakin." Other guests include Migos, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, Rico Richie and more.

Timbo also still has plans to release his new LP Textbook Timbo in 2016.
