Trae Tha Truth releases "Takers," the first single off his new album Tha Truth 2. The Houston OG teams up with buzzing Atlanta rapper Quentin Miller for a menacing proclamation of power over a SDot & J Cash-produced beat. "Nobody did us no favors/You fucking with takers, you fucking with takers/We see what we want and we take it/You talking to a taker,' raps Miller on the hook.

"Quentin and I linked up at Tree Sounds Studios in Atlanta," Trea said to XXL about linking up with Miller for the new record. "We were just in the studio, I had hit him just to come vibe out, and we were in there - I think we did maybe 3-4 songs together. 'Takers' was the one that fit what I had going on. The album was already done, but people loved the vibe of 'Takers' to where they felt it would add something new to the album."

Tree Sounds studio is a personal spot for Trae Tha Truth and he used that inspiration to make his eighth solo LP. "Tree Sounds is more personal, more away from everybody. For me it's a home away from home. The vibe of everybody who works there, from Molly and Groove who run the studio, 3 Little Digs, and a lot of entertainers. It's so big and you're in a closed space away from everybody where you don't have to be bothered," he said.

The new album is due to drop on Feb. 5. You can pre-order Tha Truth 2 on iTunes right now and get "Takers" instantly. The hip-hop vet will also be going on a tour starting next month. Peep the dates below. In August, Trae discussed Tha Truth 1 with us and also finally letting fans into his world.
