Listen to Mobb Deep, “The Way I Am Freestyle”

Like it's 2000 all over again, Mobb Deep freestyles over Eminem's "The Way I Am" for the latest installment of DJ Absolut's "Mixtape Monday" series. Featuring plenty of their traditional tough talk, Havoc and Prodigy sound right at home over the instrumental. Bringing back memories of a past rap era (one that used homophobic slurs freely), Mobb Deep show that when it comes to talking greasy on tracks, few, if any, can match the dun nomenclature. Prodigy is putting his pen to work in 2016 as he announced that he will be releasing two new books. The first will be a cookbook called Commissary Kitchen that will detail the Queens MC's prison experience through the meals he ate. The second will be The State vs Albert "Prodigy" Johnson, a follow-up to his 2011 memoir My Infamous Life.
