Busta Rhymes has tapped both O.T. Genasis and J-Doe for his latest single, "God's Plan." The New York legend and his two West coast proteges make short work of the frenetic Jahlil Beats-crafted beat; when Busta opens up during the chorus, he sounds every bit as vital as he did before the turn of the century.

The song is set to appear on Year of the Dragon: The Abstract Went on Vacation, the mixtape Busta previously teased for a Christmas day release. The title presumably refers to his long-running creative partnership with Q-Tip, the A Tribe Called Quest legend with whom he has collaborated since the early 1990s. (The cover art even hearkens back to Tribe's famous Low End Theory design.)

Perhaps most interestingly, being on a track with Busta helps recontextualize the gruff, instinctual delivery that made O.T. Genasis famous. The animated pair makes for a solid duo, one that could yield more interesting music in the near future.
