Statik Selektah's seventh studio album Lucky 7 was fulled with bangers. Released back in July, the LP featured the likes of Big K.R.I.T, A.S.A.P Rocky, Action Bronson, Rapsody, Ab-Soul, Talib Kweli, Joey Bada$$ and many more. One song that didn't make the cut, however, was this banger with the criminally slept on Black Thought of The Roots titled "Couldn't Tell."

How this track got reduced to the cutting room floor is beyond us, but we aint complaining now that's available. As usual, Thought is lyrically snapping. Over a sped up soul sample, the Roots front man rides the boom-bap infused instrumental with precision.

It's hard to believe Thought has never dropped a solo album. We need that ASAP.
