As XXL detailed this past summer, hip-hop has a deep fascination with El Chapo. The Mexican drug kingpin, whose real name is Joaquín Guzman, was estimated to be responsible for 25 percent of the drugs that entered the United States via Mexico. El Chapo's infamous prison escape only added to his lore and increased the unique admiration within hip-hop. 2 Chainz is one of the many to be inspired by the man as the Atlanta rapper dubbed himself "El Chapo Jr." in a track off his latest mixtape Trapavelli Tre.

2 Chainz revisits his "El Chapo Jr." song for a music video depicting El Chapo's escape from prison. It's not exactly an accurate portrayal of El Chapo's race for freedom, which saw the drug lord break out through a prison shower. And while 2 Chainz's raps have little connection with what's happening in the video other than his "I'm the king of the trap, El Chapo Jr." line, it's still an entertaining watch.
