This Thanksgiving will mark 12 years since Soulja Slim was murdered in front of the New Orleans home he had purchased for his mother. It's been six years since the one-time Hot Boys star B.G. was arrested after a traffic stop yielded drugs, ammunition and stolen guns. (B.G. is currently serving the third year of a 14-year sentence.) Yet somewhere in Louisiana, both rappers' sons formed a bond. For the last couple of years, they've been making music together, along with Juvenile's son, Young Juve, and three other young MCs: Neno Calvin and Daniel Heartless from Magnolia and Tokey Hefner from the 3rd Ward. Together the six are known as Ghetto Children, like the song from the elder Juve's 400 Degreez. Their new self-titled EP, available below, is anchored by Young Juve's Lil Wayne- and Mannie Fresh-featuring "Do Yo Thang" remix. The bounce lives on.
