New Orleans native Pell is an anomaly on the Big Easy rap scene. While last year's release Floating While Dreaming made some noise, the young spitta is prepared to make a name for himself when he puts out his debut LP LIMBO. Today, we get the single from the project "Cafe Du Monde" featuring Dave Sitek. The hard-hitting track is ear-catching sonically, with Pell matching the track's intensity with his melodic bars.

"The music itself has such a strong, almost dark edge to it," Pell said, describing "Cafe Du Monde" to The FADER. "I tried to match it with a real story with some urgency, something that could feel gripping against an open track. I wanted it to be something that's complex lyrically, yet easy to sink your teeth into."

He added, "If you're not growing, you're either standing still or you're slowly decaying. I want to be constantly growing, as a human, as well as an artist."

Pell's forthcoming album LIMBO is slated to drop on Nov. 6 on Federal Prism records.
