"Run The Jewels will re-record RTJ2 using nothing but cat sounds for music. You are free to profit from this album in any way you see fit up to 100k in net global profit or 3 years (whichever comes first)." -- Run The Jewels 2 Kickstarter, 2014.

It started off as a joke. Now, it's all too real: Just Blaze has just let loose of his contribution to Meow The Jewels, the remix album that pits El-P and Killer Mike's second collaboration against a hotbed of cat sounds. The Roc-A-Fella veteran decided to tackle "Oh My Darling Don't Cry," an early single from Run The Jewels 2, as "Oh My Darling Don't Meow." Unexpectedly, the cut sounds just as menacing as before, perhaps arguing for more feline involvement in the arts. The album should be out soon, per El's suggestion that it could drop by the end of the month.
