George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic have been sampled and used on hip-hop songs for decades and now Kendrick Lamar is paying back the group who has done so much for the culture. Lamar, whose To Pimp a Butterfly album features the P Funk frontman on the opening song, hops on the remix to super funky "Ain't That Funkin' Kinda Hard On You?" Over bouncy synths, Clinton, despite being 74 years of age, shows he can still rock a song with the best of them. The funk legend calls on K.Dot and the West Coast MC unsurprisingly comes through with another standout verse. Check it out below:

Kendrick will likely go down as a legend in the music world when it’s all said in done and the Compton, CA native got a first hand experience on what legendary really means when he sat down with world-renowned musician Quincy Jones. As part of HYPETRAK Magazine‘s “Generations” series, a wide-eyed K.Dot chopped it up with Quincy Jones about his work on Michael Jackson's Thriller, hip-hop’s roots and what the future holds. The look Kendrick gives when Quincy drops a true jewel on him is a site to behold. Check it out here.
