BJ The Chicago Kid and Chance The Rapper Go to “Church” in New Video

Chicago natives BJ the Chicago Kid and Chance the Rapper team up for the sexy “Church” from BJ’s upcoming debut project, In My Mind. The singer and rapper both have intentions of making it to the sermon on Sunday but first they have other sinly matters to tend to on Saturday night. Tempted by beautiful women, drugs and sex, BJ is at a crossroads and perfectly explains his thought process with the line, “She says she wanna drink, do drugs and have sex tonight / But I’ve got church in the morning.” The soulful track is a promising look at what’s to come from BJ’s In My Mind project, check out the video above.

XXL caught up with the Chi Town native about his upcoming album and his journey to breaking out as a solo act. “I mean, it’s already happening. If Dr. Dre rocking with me, I don’t feel like it’s a tussle,” he said. “I’m willing to work for mine. I was established as a writer long before I signed to Motown. I worked with a lot of my heroes before I was signed to Motown. I don’t want any hand outs. Everything that happens, happens naturally. The person that called me wanted it to happen. I’m earning my stripes. I want the real. The real will give me a sincere victory.”
