"Still Going In 2015" aims itself in plenty of different directions--the block, the suburbs, the doctor's office, the bank--but two-thirds of the way through the song, Rich Homie Quan turns his gaze skyward. Talking to God certainly isn't breaking new ground in music, but there's something undeniable about a rags-to-riches wunderkind who now finds himself on the precipice of stardom all while fucked-up paperwork threatens to hold hostage the royalties from his two biggest hits. So Quan tries to reason with a higher power, tracing the origin of his lesser qualities: "I remember the first time I got fired/I remember my first time watching The Wire." Before that, he breaks cadence and cries, "I don't wanna lie no more, I don't wanna cheat no more." As with all his best work, Quan defaults back to an immutable, all-consuming hunger to never, be go broke again. Coupled with last week's "Bankroll," the slightly less famous Rich Gang alum could be plotting a takeover.
