Miguel made waves earlier this month when he said that he feels his music is better than Frank Ocean's. The comparison, controversial at the time, has mostly faded away, mostly due to how quiet Ocean has been on the musical front. But it raises the obvious question: Where does Miguel fit in the modern R&B landscape? His new album, Wildheart, isn't the critical juggernaut that he had on his hands with Kaleidoscope Dream, but it's one of the year's most daring, most technically impressive efforts. Recently, the San Pedro native dropped Wildheart Chapter 1: Find What You Love And Let It Kill You, which is a 12-minute short film comprising the music videos for "...goingtohell," "Coffee" and "NWA." The last song's visuals are released here as a standalone, complete with an assist from the legendary Kurupt. If you've never driven aimlessly around Los Angeles, well, this might be just the excuse you need.
