On August 14, eOne is dropping Welcome To JFK, the posthumous album from the slain New York rapper Chinx. In advance of that, the label has issued a pair of singles, "YAY" and "How To Get Rich." On the first, Chinx is sharp as ever, barking, flossing, reminiscing. His voice was always more versatile than his Coke Boys partner French Montana, so the oscillations between Stack Bundles laments and bodega shit-talking are pronounced and captivating. The latter is an Autotune-drenched inversion of self-help books: "Wish I had a step-by-step book/On the roads and the paths you took/When you lost it all, how'd you get it back?/Work for it, or did it fall up in your lap?" Pre-order Welcome To JFK right here; it will feature appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Nipsey Hussle, Jeremih and more, including the late Bundles. For the time being, each song can be only streamed by clicking the hyperlinks to eOne's Soundcloud account.
