Listen to Migos, “Recognition”
It's tough to quantify interest in a rap group, especially one that employs less traditional channels to get its music out. But with their retail debut, YRN: Tha Album, due out at the end of this month, Migos are doing everything they can to keep their name in the proverbial, digital headlines. After a pair of singles--"Real Street N---a" and "Pipe It Up," the latter of which is on the album--the trio has dropped YRN's final song. "Recognition" is a slow, contemplative cut that takes stock of how far Quavo, TakeOff and OffSet have come since they broke through to national audiences in 2013. While this year was supposed to be a coronation of sorts for the Migos, with a planned tour and their official studio debut. However, things were briefly derailed by a post-concert arrest that landed OffSet in jail for an extended stay.
