Listen to K Camp, “9:35 p.m.”

"I know they seen a n---a on the XXL." K Camp, one of the breakout stars of this magazine's 2015 Freshman class, took to his Soundcloud account last night (June 23) to drop a spur-of-the-moment track, "9:35 p.m." It's little more than a round of venting, but it has a certain gravity. Splayed out in Bugatti driver's seats, K Camp continues the run of loose tracks that has followed this year's breakthrough mixtape, "One Way." In addition to his carefully constructed videos and ear for song structures that will endear him to radio programmers, the Georgian has taken it upon himself to team up with some of hip-hop's most talented young voices. To wit, just check out his collaborations with Sauce Walka and his fellow Freshman, Fetty Wap. When Camp's full-length debut arrives later this year, he could assert himself as a commercial force.
