The South has officially risen again. While most of the Southern rap focus has been directed towards Atlanta innovators Young Thug, Migos and iLoveMakonnen, an MC from Florida is making some noticeable noise.

With a Southern twang reminiscent of Baton Rouge's Boosie Badazz and a familiar beat to get us all hyped, Mob Squad Nard drops his version of Meek Mill's "Dreams & Nightmares" today. Though he adopts Meek's breathy, agitated flow, Nard comes out swinging with bars all his own and doesn't forget to rep his clique.

"And I'm right back on the Northside with your main bitch and you heated.
She fuck with niggas who ain't petty, we blowing money you need it.
I don't fuck around with no broke boy, til my time come I'm shooting.
Its that Mob Squad shit, you talking crazy, we prove it."

The standout MC of Jacksonville, Florida's Mob Squad Muzik crew, Nard has had a steady climb in the underground scene. The Mob Squad came up under the Hustle House Records exec Mob Boss. Together, Mob Squad last released was a mixtape series entitled S.O.S from 2012 to 2013.

Check out Nard's flow above and be on the lookout for Nard's music video for "Dreams & Nightmares" next week. His debut solo project, Nardo DaVinci is due out later this summer.
