Alex Wiley has spent 2015 working diligently, keeping his name in blog headlines and in his fans' Twitter feeds with an EP, One Singular Flame Emoji, and a series of loosies. And while the Chicago MC fell just short of the last spot on XXL's 2015 Freshman class, his just-announced LP, Synthia, is sure to garner him the buzz he needs. Due out in September via hometown creative curatorial firm Closed Sessions, Wiley says the album "has a point of view, a whole aesthetic to it." He goes on: "It’s new. It’s me but updated with a new perspective, new experiences." The first single from Synthia arrives today. "Feast," produced by YOG$, speaks to Synthia's musical direction, which Wiley says relies more on percussion and synths than the guitars he's used previously. "It just has a whole new bounce to it from anything I’ve done before," Wiley says. Stream "Feast" below:
