Listen to Alex Wiley, “Feast”
Alex Wiley has spent 2015 working diligently, keeping his name in blog headlines and in his fans' Twitter feeds with an EP, One Singular Flame Emoji, and a series of loosies. And while the Chicago MC fell just short of the last spot on XXL's 2015 Freshman class, his just-announced LP, Synthia, is sure to garner him the buzz he needs. Due out in September via hometown creative curatorial firm Closed Sessions, Wiley says the album "has a point of view, a whole aesthetic to it." He goes on: "It’s new. It’s me but updated with a new perspective, new experiences." The first single from Synthia arrives today. "Feast," produced by YOG$, speaks to Synthia's musical direction, which Wiley says relies more on percussion and synths than the guitars he's used previously. "It just has a whole new bounce to it from anything I’ve done before," Wiley says. Stream "Feast" below:
