When Your Old Droog's music first surfaced online, he and his camp entertained rumors tying the elusive MC's work to Nas; while the two sound very similar at times, Droog has since established an online presence, putting his face out in the open. Still, one can't help but feel like his music has been frozen in amber for decades. His latest offering, "Senseless Killin'," might as well have been lifted from a D&D session in 1995. Though Droog boasts about distancing himself from hip-hop ("Never attended a rap show I wasn't getting money at/Don't listen to rap songs I'm not currently working on"), the track is nevertheless steeped in the traditions of his forbearers.
