While the cold war between Lil Wayne and Bryan "Baby" Williams rages on, another former Hot Boy is quietly having a renaissance of sorts. Juvenile's latest effort, the quietly compelling Mardi Gras 2, is a welcome reminder of what made the New Orleans MC so necessary; his contribution to Jacquees' new single, "Bout It," is another. The rapper and the singer each float over the beat, weaving in and out of the pocket, interpolating songs from the other famous Louisiana label in the process. Jacquees, who recently appeared on "Amazing" from Young Thug's stellar Barter 6, is prepping the release of Mood. Still without a release date, that project is expected out some time in 2015.
