Being tapped by Kanye West for his single "All Day" made Allan Kingdom an artist to keep an eye on in 2015; songs like "Mandela" will help the young artist live up to the hype. Over a Charlie Heat instrumental, Kingdom dedicates bars to his ancestors and descendants and surely makes them proud with his impressive flow. At just 20-years-old, Kingdom flashes a lyrical dexterity well beyond his years as he goes in over the sample-heavy instrumental with no chorus. Check out "Mandela" above.

Kingdom was featured in XXL's The Break section back in September and provided more insight into his life and musical background. Along with revealing that he tailors his own pants, Kingdom also declared that he is ready to create his own niche and lane in the music world. "I don’t really think that I’m gonna be the next anything, I just kind of see myself making my own pocket, like my own lane," said Kingdom. "I don’t know. I try to not think in those terms, even though it’s hard. Like looking up these people it’s like “Aw man look at what Andre’s done, look at what Pharrell’s done.” But you just have to keep your own tunnel vision on and look at what you can contribute to everything that hasn’t been yet. So that’s what I’m most focused on; to contribute to what hasn’t been yet."
