Freddie Gibbs has the type of rough voice that automatically demands attention as soon as its heard over any type of beat. Whether its from too many blunts or years of straining his vocal chords over tracks, Gibbs distinct low-octave voice is one of the more distinguishable in hip-hop. On "My Dope House," a joint produced by Canadian producer Kaytranada, Gibbs shows his versatility over the synth-heavy instrumental that strays from the traditional hip-hop sound the Gary, Indiana MC is known for. Gibbs' aggressive raps are complemented by a smooth but menacing hook. The song was recorded at Red Bull Studios and will be oficially released via iTunes and a limited 7-inch vinyl this May.
