You don't get the sense that Junglepussy suffers from many self-esteem issues. In the past, sure; but by the time she was writing and recording last year's stellar Satisfaction Guaranteed, she was a swaggering icon, a lifetime's worth of Pink Range Rovers and oversized furs distilled down into one human. The video for "Me," the closing song from Satisfaction, opens with her dismissing the most common question she gets, outright. A journalist asks her why she chose the name 'Junglepussy,' and she retorts with a simple list of names: Dick Cheney, Dick Wolf, Dick Van Dyke. And with that, "Me" begins, where she flaunts her weave-less hair and her peerless rap style. Borrowing heavily from heyday Dipset, but shouting out a litany of the finest female rappers in history, Junglepussy chats on the phone with Oprah, buys globes, brags about rubbing lotion on her "titties." By the time she barks out, "All skin is intimidating," Satisfaction comes full circle, presenting the listener with questions it staunchly refuses to answer.

Junglepussy has long touted the value of "Me," telling XXL last September that it was the song on her project of which she was most proud. "I wrote it in a tent," she recalled. "I spent a whole week in a tent and was just sleeping, eating my fruit. It wasn’t in the woods. I was in my backyard but I still wasn’t trying to be hooked up to technology that much. I had my phone there but it was on airplane mode. I was just writing that whole week. I was like, 'I really need to let them know who I am'” So on that song I talk about drinking tea with Hennessy and lotioning my titties and having my afro out and no weave. I really wanted to make sure I like solidified something about me."
