Premiere: Shy Glizzy Lives the Good Life in ‘Everything Golden’ Video

Off Shy Glizzy's impressive Law 3 mixtape, the video for "Everything Golden" is released today exclusively with XXL. If you haven't heard Glizzy's tape then you need to immediately. "Everything Golden" is boastful reminder to all of Glizzy's old flames that they missed out on a good catch. The visual is simple but clean. Two very attractive young women hold gold automatic weapons while wearing gold lipstick. Mostly in front of an all white background, viewers see the DC native rap on a throne, bottles of Ace of Spades, diamonds and a goldfish. The Zaytoven-produced track was a standout off the tape.

Compared to his previous tape Young Jefe, DJ Drama-hosted Law 3 is a clear right step in progression. Glizzy uses the tape’s quick pacing to give it stakes. The forward motion is unstoppable. Law 3 is essentially a 40-minute plus turn-up on wax, boasting loud bass and showing off Shy’s flow that blends singing and rapping with his high pitch raspy voice. “Law 3 shows my growth as a rapper,” said Shy Glizzy to XXL during CMJ week this year. “I don’t really like maintaining, so on every project I’m going to show you my growth. I’ve been in the studio every day working on Law 3, so I’m on a bigger level and my music is getting bigger and better. It’s going be hosted by DJ Drama, and I got production from Young Chop, Cardo, EA and Zay.”
