ScienZe is trying to peer outside. In his new song, "2BRIGHT," the Crown Height rapper takes to breezy, Sunday-morning synths as he waxes about money, time, building cars and standing for causes. Debating whether or not "the light" is too strong to capture on film, wax or .wav, the Ella rapper ruminates on whether his craftsmanship might be better suited for a more blue-collar trade. But the raps are sharp, and QSTN's breezy negative space is the ideal backdrop for witticisms about race politics and dissatisfying basketball games.

Recently, ScienZe released #BringBackElla, a narrative-based EP that expands on his most famous work. It's a quietly impressive tape, subtle and smart. It sported the easygoing video to "The Proof."
