Is Bobby Shmurda hip-hop's reckoning? What happens when the proverbial (and literal) arms race for the authentic ends in murder raps and special task forces? While Shmurda and his GS9 cohort, Rowdy Rebel, face a litany of charges in New York, they let loose of the remix to the former's "Bobby Bitch," this time with a guest turn from Atlanta's Rich The Kid. The song decidedly eschews context. It isn't a comment on the legal system or the judicial racism the young men will undoubtedly face. This is unapologetic, unflinching street rap, no winks at the camera, no qualifiers.
