In 2014, Lil Herb distinguished himself as one of the most vital young voices in hip-hop, his unsettling growl twisted and bent into some of the year's best, most menacing and most human rap music. Now, he pushes forth on that trajectory, contributing a song to New York streetwear brand Rocksmith's 10th anniversary collection. In addition to a photoshoot for the commemorative 'lookbook,' Herb dropped a song called "I'm Rollin.'" Paying tribute to some of his fallen friends, Herb nonetheless sticks to his unshakably grim demeanor, overpowering the track with his gruff delivery. The song is nearly five minutes, but it feels lean and kinetic--pulling dirty clips and refusing to show bouncers valid ID. "I'm Rollin'" is another strong piece of what's becoming an increasingly convincing resume for Herb.
