It's every rapper's dream to one day floss in a fur coat, and Jarren Benton is no different. The Funk Volume rapper just dropped the video for "Diamonds & Fur." The track is in support of his recently released EP, Slow Motion. The Payne Lindsay-directed video shows Benton stunting in a dope fur coat while snow falls all around him. "Diamonds & Fur" is used as a symbol for Benton's past obstacles that he faced as a musician.

"'Diamonds & Fur' is a metaphor," said Benton when talking about the creative inspiration behind the track. "I take you on a journey through some of my troubles and adversities as a struggling musician. 'Diamonds & Fur' represents the success from the lime light. The video depicts sort of a dream state and my inner thoughts. You'll see me rapping in plain clothes—that's Jarren—then a Jarren in fur, which is where I want to go."

Slow Motion, Benton's eight-track EP, is dedicated to his friend and former manager Jamal "Slow Motion" Pryor who passed away in 2013. It  features appearances from label mates Dizzy Wright, Hopsin, SwizZz  and many more. XXL recently caught up with Benton to chat about his music and future endeavors. He says that he doesn't fit in with the new Atlanta sound.

"I don’t really want to be classified in the new Atlanta because the media, or whoever I guess picked out those dudes, they didn’t come out and reach out to me," said the XXL Freshman. "No disrespect to them dudes. They are all doing their thing, but I feel like there’s a side of Atlanta that is not being represented. Also, all those dudes have a similar sound."
